VW 1.4L–1.6L Compression Reduction Plate

1.5 mm steel compression reduction plate for the 1.4–1.6L VW, SEAT and Škoda engine block.

Engine codes: AEX, AKV, ANX, APQ

When converting to a turbocharger or supercharger, the compression ratio must be reduced. This can be achieved with special pistons or an intermediate plate, allowing significantly higher boost pressures and power. Under forced induction, the original pistons would not withstand the resulting temperatures at the normal compression ratio.
