VR6 Compression Reduction Plate 2.0 mm

2.0 mm steel compression reduction plate for 2.8–2.9-litre 12-valve VR6 engines.

The plate follows the contour of fibre cylinder head gaskets (1.6 mm).

When converting to a turbocharger or supercharger, the compression ratio must be reduced. This can be achieved with special pistons or a spacer plate, allowing significantly higher boost pressures and power outputs. Under forced induction, the original pistons may not withstand the resulting temperatures at the standard compression ratio.
