Compression reduction VR6 – 2.0mm

This plate is designed for Elring/Reinz multi-layer steel gaskets (0.6mm). For the VR6 2.8–2.9 12V in 2.0mm steel.

Two 0.6mm steel gaskets plus the 2.0mm plate result in a compression ratio of 8.76:1, including the timing-chain tensioner sleeve.

A complete gasket with integrated coated spacer plate is also available in our shop.

When converting to a turbocharger or supercharger, the compression ratio must be reduced. This allows higher boost pressures and power outputs; the original pistons would not withstand the resulting temperatures.

Other thicknesses are available on request.
